Steve Webster, former law enforcement officer and Almost Home Rescue foster volunteer and adopter, has written a book. In 2019, Steve Webster and his wife, Deb, stopped by an adoption event and met the dog they would soon adopt, Maisie. Since then, Steve and Deb have fostered several dogs for AHR. A Memoir with Maisie is a book that started as a means of therapy for Steve, but ended as a compilation of stories that highlight a life well lived, but not necessarily a well lived life. Steve found an effective way of looking back at his life and giving examples of the power of love, compassion, and hope. He pulled this off while telling stories of many “unwanted” dogs who are now living their best life because someone stepped up and saved them.
