Almost Home Rescue spends every dime they receive to care for rescue dogs. We have no paid employees. All funds are spent on dogs already in our care; those who required emergency care, preventative care and ongoing vaccination updates. Most of the medical / veterinary expenses were incur are from dogs who are locally surrendered, meaning dogs from our area that would not have done well in a shelter environment and were already in Maine or New Hampshire. Almost Home Rescue works closely with shelters in Maine and New Hampshire assisting when asked to accept dogs who for one reason or another can not stay in a shelter.

We are 501 (c) 3 non profit, all-volunteer group who dedicate their time and money to saving as many dogs as we can. The cost to save a dog often greatly exceeds the adoption fee; that’s why we need your help.

Physical Donations

We are in need of money for veterinary bills, puppy transportation, food, leashes, beds, collars, fencing, flea & tick shampoo, dog bowls, kennels.. etc. We can make arrangements to pick up physical donations.
